Alexia Hoffman
Founder and President, NSS South Houston Space Society
Alexia Hoffman is the Founder and President of the NSS South Houston Space Society, a chapter of the National Space Society dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and space explorers through education, outreach, and community engagement.
A rising senior at The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas, Alexia is passionate about space exploration, scientific research, medicine, and STEM education. She is a NASA High School Aerospace Scholar and participant in Project Moonshot, where she collaborates with fellow students and NASA mentors to design innovative human spaceflight mission concepts and solve real-world aerospace challenges.
Through the NSS South Houston Space Society, Alexia seeks to expand access to STEM education and mentorship opportunities, particularly for students from underserved communities. She believes that every young person should have the opportunity to explore science, develop their talents, and contribute to humanity’s future in space.
Molly Jane Dunn
Vice President and Secretary
Molly Jane Dunn is the Vice President & Secretary of the NSS South Houston Space Society, a chapter of the National Space Society dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and space explorers through education, outreach, and community engagement.
Molly Jane is a rising senior at The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas and has been guided through her high-school career by her love of STEM, particularly physics. Her life-long interest in space grew into a passion as she began studying physics, leading to Molly Jane’s new investigation of space through the lens of an astrophysicist. This process was enhanced during a class Molly Jane took called “The Physics of Space Travel.”
By participating in the NSS South Houston Space Society, Molly Jane works to make STEM education more accessible and inspires interest in STEM subjects for all students, no matter their backgrounds, as well as assist in the creation of an informative and innovative environment for others interested in space. According to Molly Jane, learning should be accompanied by true interest and anyone with this interest has the right to any opportunity to learn; the fostering of an appreciation for learning will lead humanity to success, in both space and beyond.
